Hello, I'm Sam, a London-based video editor.
to become an edit assistant. My diverse experience spans a range of projects with some of the biggest names in television and film, from multicam music gigs to documentaries, adverts, and TV shows.
After my time at The Joint, I took an adventurous detour to backpack across Asia, followed by a couple of enriching years in Australia. In Sydney, I worked as a supervising edit assistant at Channel 7, contributing to various reality TV shows, and later as an Assistant Editor for the drama series "Picnic at Hanging Rock" in Melbourne. My time as an assistant has provided me with an in-depth understanding of both the technicalities and creative aspects of post-production.
Returning to the UK, I spent a couple of years at Feref, an advertising agency, before venturing into the world of freelancing. Since then, I've had the privilege of working on a variety of projects, including music concerts, food shows, and travel documentaries.
Beyond my edit suite, I have a passion for music, food, and travel. I bring a modest yet dedicated mindset to every project I undertake.
I'm proficient in using Avid Media Composer and Premiere Pro. I also dabble in a bit of After Effects with skills such as kinetic type, rotoscoping, tracking and more. I am always eager to learn and adapt to new challenges, whether it's crafting a compelling narrative or adding visual finesse, I'm well-versed in bringing ideas to life.
I pride myself on strong communication skills. I have the confidence and expertise to effectively communicate with both colleagues and clients. Whether it's discussing project details or advising on any questions they may have regarding an edit, I'm always ready to collaborate and find the best solutions.
If you're looking for a video editor with a skillful touch and a commitment to excellence, I'd love to connect. Feel free to reach out, and let's discuss how I can contribute to your next project.
